  Tone Commander Leadership Team
Steve Hill   Steve Hill is president of Tone Commander. Since purchasing the company in 1992, Steve worked aggressively to develop new technologies and products, increase sales and make key acquisitions. Under his leadership, Tone Commander has introduced nine new product lines with more than 50 products; developed new core technologies in ISDN and VoIP telephony products; coordinated the successful acquisition and expansion of its E9-1-1 product line; and tripled sales, improving earnings from a net loss to millions in annual net income.

Prior to purchasing Tone Commander, Steve was the engineering manager at Datacom Technologies, where he set up a new engineering department and managed development of the majority of the company’s product line, including data transmission equipment, hand-held data network testers, printer-sharing equipment, and networking equipment. Steve started his career as a senior design engineer at Tone Commander, where his responsibilities included hardware and firmware design, design specification and review, system integration, and project management.

Walker spent the next four years at MX-Com Inc., where he oversaw sales and marketing for the Winston-Salem, N.C., company as a manager and then vice president. In 1998, Walker joined Tone Commander as its director of sales and marketing, a position he has held for the last 10 years.

Prior to joining Tone Commander, Beck held numerous executive roles at 3M Communications. After starting his career at 3M as a distribution sales manager, Beck rapidly rose up the ranks. In 2001, he was promoted to key account sales manager, and then quickly moved to regional sales manager for 3M’s northwest region, where he was responsible for Idaho, Oregon, Northern California, and Washington State. In 2005, 3M promoted Beck to national director of sales, where he was responsible for marketing, sales and product development strategy to the cable TV industry; key clients included Comcast, Cox, Qwest, Time Warner, and Verizon.
