If you are served by a PBX or similar telephone system, the location information sent to the public 9-1-1 dispatcher may not be correct. This is because with most PBX systems today, there is a missing link in the communications chain between the caller and the dispatcher. Instead of identifying the individual caller, only the main PBX location is reported. As a result, emergency personnel might be dispatched to the wrong address or floor, and precious time could be lost searching for the caller or incident. By properly identifying the calling location, the response to emergency calls from your facility is expedited. Help arrives at the right place, at the right time – the first time! 

Multiple call reporting devices can be used, such as text-messaging cell phones, pagers, desktop call displays, computers, LAN workstations, and printers to keep you informed of all PBX/9-1-1 call activity as it occurs. You decide which reporting devices are used and where they are located (either locally or remotely).
